Guests choose from Rice Pods, Nest cabins, or Treehaus rooms, each with a kitchenette, air conditioning, and a private bathroom. The Rice Pod includes a twin-bed setup, heated floors, a Bluetooth speaker, and a French press with local Wonderstate coffee. Nest cabins offer a living area with a chaise lounge and a balcony, while Treehaus rooms share a common space and kitchen.

The on-site restaurant serves American cuisine with vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free options, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Chef Brian prepares meals like Indian curry, whitefish, and gluten-free brownies, all presented buffet-style at brunch and dinner. Guests can also request to-go boxes for meals outside scheduled hours.

A Swedish sauna and rain showers are available 24/7 for relaxation. Daily yoga classes are held in the Peace Pod, a studio with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the forest. Additional activities include guided forest walks, meditation sessions, aromatherapy, and Ojibwe cultural programs.

The retreat sits on the shore of Lake Superior, adjacent to the Brownstone Trail, a 1.7-mile walking path into downtown Bayfield. Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands are reachable via a short ferry ride from Bayfield. The property also borders 80 acres of forest with hiking trails and views of the lake.

Wild Rice Retreat welcomes dogs with a pet package that includes a plush dog bed, towels, and treats. Many rooms, including Rice Pods and Nests, accommodate pets. The property provides direct access to walking trails and the lake shore for easy exercise.
